I am very excited to announce the launch of my new book “An Underwater Guide to Anguilla, British West Indies”. A long time in the making, this book is basically a record of everything I observed while living and working on the beautiful island of Anguilla for over six years as Deputy Director of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources. An archive of every species seen or known to be present in the waters around the island based on first hand conversations with other underwater enthusiasts and fishers.
As I wrote on the back cover “This book contains over 600 colour images of the plants, corals, fishes and other creatures that live under the water in Anguilla, British West Indies. The species that are listed are those that were encountered by the author while he was living and working on the island over a ten year period, either while diving and snorkelling or through conversations with other underwater enthusiasts. It is hoped that this book serves to inspire those living on or visiting the beautiful island of Anguilla to help protect the marine environment and the incredible biodiversity that lives within it, so that it may be enjoyed for many generations to come.”
I think that says it all really, and I hope that everyone who has a copy enjoys browsing its 250 pages! It is available to buy here, or directly on Island from the offices of the Anguilla National Trust. Feel free to contact me if you have any queries.
Enjoy!!
