Crocus Bay Anguilla

Crocus Bay Anguilla

This is one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Anguilla. Dramatic cliffs, seagrass beds, interesting reefs and great water sports. In fact, this picture was taken very close to that posted a few weeks ago for Little Bay, which is located just to the right of this image. Crocus Bay to me is one of the top spots to hang out. Its beautiful and has a slight tourist vibe, but still with a very local feel. The perfect mix. In the distance is Sandy Ground (aka Road Bay), another top spot, but this time for nightlife. In-between is Katouche Bay and North Cliffs a wonderfully wild beach with great snorkelling. However, one of my favourite features of this cliff-lined coastal area is the fact that so many fossils can be found here. I am a bit of amateur paleontologist and absolutely love nothing more than finding million year old creature remains when walking on the beach. Keep your eyes out here, the rocks are literally filled with them!

Crocus Bay is a lovely place to hang out these days thanks to Da Vida’s beach bar with well priced good food and affordable watersports activities. Complimentary lounger for the day if you eat here. You can also get Calvins water taxi from here to Little Bay. A perfect day out for the whole family.
